Regency Grand Tour specimen marble sphere. Circa 1810s. Priced individually.
Thought to be a specimen marble sphere, showcasing a beautiful composition of natural veining in Italian marble. Polished to a smooth finish, each sphere is raised on a customised oak base, allowing the intricate patterns and colours of the stone to take centre stage.
Presented in excellent condition, with some minor wear (please see photographs for details).
Height on stand: 24cm, Sphere diameter: 20cm
A striking decorative object that would make an excellent addition to a shelf or display cabinet, or equally work as a centrepiece on a table. Its sculptural form and unique natural patterning would sit comfortably in both traditional and contemporary interiors.
