A Queen Anne antique olive-oyster chest of drawers on bun feet. Circa early 1700s.
An elegant English chest of drawers, decorated with boxwood, yew veneer and delicate olive-oysters. Fitted with brass teardrop handles and escutcheons, with tapering oak-lined drawers and raised on simple bun feet. An excellent example of early English craftsmanship from the Queen Anne period, with beautifully aged patina.
Restored and presented in excellent condition, with some age-appropriate wear. This includes some historic woodworm holes, which have been treated for extra measure (please see photographs for details).
Over time, this piece has seen some historic repairs and later replacements consistent with its age.
Height: 92cm, Width: 96cm, Depth: 55.5cm
A particularly beautiful piece for a bedroom alcove, where its intricate decoration and warm, aged timber can be appreciated.
