We talked vintage with Tess who is renovating her beautiful Georgian home in East London.
How would you describe your interiors style?
We have a very eclectic house. I use a lot of colour in furniture and home accessories, and I love using wooden furniture throughout our home. Comfort and practicality definitely supersedes everything so I think about the function of a room before choosing pieces for it.
How do you use vintage in your home?
Every room has vintage pieces in it, and I always check vintage sources before looking at new pieces. Vintage is great for big ticket items like tables and chairs - I recently bought a vintage club chair and had it recovered, so we like to do a lot of upcycling too.
What do you love most about buying vintage?
I love that vintage inspires ideas that I would have never thought of before. I love scrolling on Instagram and coming across a new shape of side table, or a collection of candlesticks that I would never have thought of for a space that would work perfectly somewhere in our home.
