We talk interiors with Gareth who has a talent for up-cycling and creating cosy spaces.
How would you describe your interiors style?
I wouldn’t say my interior style has a particular ‘look’, but I try to create spaces around feeling. I just love feeling cosy, so try to fill my house with natural materials, lots of texture, soft lighting (and lots of fragrance). For me it’s about cosy, cocooning spaces.
How do you use vintage in your home?
I try to incorporate as much vintage into my home as possible. I love that it creates really unique spaces, as well as keeping items alive, and not contributing to more waste. Mixing vintage with more modern items creates a friction that I think makes interiors exciting, but also really comfortable places to be.
What do you love most about buying vintage?
I just love that feeling of knowing pieces will have a story (and have been around longer than me!) Buying vintage is lots of fun, as many items can be creatively repurposed in your home, such as old crates as bedside tables, or side tables for a cosy reading nook.
